I have used the setter about four times so far and with every use it gets better and better. My first try it took me about an 1 hour and 15 mins. to complete. Over the weekend I used it and it took about 30 mins. this time. I am an AA and my hair gets pretty frizzy and it works wonders on my hair (except for the new growth). The only thing I would suggest is to use a little moisturizer on your ends and end paper to combat the frizz.

I like to curl my hair on a daily basis to get rid of frizz and this is the only invention that does NOT damage my hair! I think it actually puts moisture back into my hair! Shiny, natural looking curls! I bought a back up set just in case this one ever breaks!!

Searched high and low for this product, the smaller version, no stores around me carry this product only the large size and did not want to pay the $50.00 plus price. Found exactly what I was looking for thru Amazon and at a great price, ordered with no problems and received product within reasonable time limit. This is the only hair setter that works for me been using since about 2000. Happy to have curls again. Sandi

I have used the Caruso Hairsetter for years. The first one I had bought, you had to use salt in it. I like it because it is kind to your hair because no heat is used as with other hairsetters. However, I have found out that the new ones do not last as long as the earlier ones with salt. I do not use it every day and I think it should last longer than it does. I just purchased my second one from Amazon and the first one did not last more than a year. Great product and if anything happens to this one, I will purchase another one. In fact, I should keep an extra one on hand in case the one fails to work.
